Pending doesn’t create another inbox for you to manage. It uses your communication to identify and maintain responsibilities, and keeps the information needed to help you follow through.

Original message content
Message content is generally processed temporarily and removed once processing is complete. Your messages stay in your own communication services, where they already live.
When Pending isn't sure
A short excerpt may be kept temporarily so you can confirm or dismiss a Possible Responsibility. It is removed when you decide, or automatically after 14 days.
Disconnecting and deleting
You can disconnect a source at any time to stop new access through it, and delete your account to remove the app data and stored access credentials covered by our deletion process. Disconnecting does not remove responsibilities already created.

How the access works.
What Pending can do
Pending never sends, replies to, edits, deletes, or archives your email. There are no automated replies, no generated drafts, and no silent actions on your behalf. That holds for every way of connecting.
How access is limited
Connection methods are not identical. Gmail uses Google's read-only permission, which limits what Pending can do at Google itself. An App Password connection and email forwarding rely on Pending's own behaviour rather than a provider-enforced read-only scope, and forwarding shares only the messages you choose to send.
Supported sources
Gmail, Outlook / Microsoft 365, iCloud Mail, Slack, and email forwarding for other providers, with no direct account connection. Connection methods vary by provider, and your email password is never shared with Pending.
Encryption in transit
Communication between your browser, your connected sources, and Pending uses HTTPS/TLS throughout.
